If you guessed there is a local mum behind Màyta, you're right! I'm Sheridan & I am indeed a Mumma - to three happy little kids. I love anything fun & creative, I practically live at playgrounds right now, and you will rarely see me without a child attached to me these days. Outside of motherhood I love (attempting to) grow fresh veggies and flowers out in the garden, the turbulent but satisfying journey of renovating our family home, and just being around my people.

Màyta had been a seed in my mind for years since I became a mum in 2019. My time as a stay at home mum and many hours of brainstorming while breastfeeding through the night has given me the opportunity to bring it to life. An online space where mums can come for connection and reassurance (it's always good to know you weren't the only one whose child screamed their way through Target today) but also real life spaces local to the Macedon Ranges, where mums can get out of the house, enjoy a coffee while it's still hot, and kids can play and explore. 

I'm a big believer that if we as mums aren't our best self, there's a good chance the other members of the house won't be either, and I have found spending time with other people going through the same season as me is always grounding.
